The Merkel SR1 is a gas-operated, semi-auto rifle that is chambered for a number of different cartridges, including the 9.3x62mm. Couple that with either the two or five-shot magazine, and things get interesting. Other chamberings include 7x64mm, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, 8x57mm and .300 Winchester Magnum.
Merkel's KR1 bolt-action rifle is now available in a full stock "Stutzen" version. The superb, break-open, single-shot Merkel K1 also is now available in a Stutzen version.
For double rifle fans, Merkel has come up with a really interesting model – the 141. This double rifle is based on a compact 28-gauge frame, and is available in 7x57R, .30-06 and 9.3x74R.
