Whos getting a nervous trigger finger? As cooler days replace the sun-filled summer days in New England, hunters begin thinking about hitting the woods. Some are already out scouting. Bear season opens soon, followed by moose season, archery deer and then deer season.
To help get your juices flowing, as if you really needed any, and to learn from the best, New Hampshire Fish and Game is sponsoring a free night to talk deer hunting. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 29, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at New Hampshire Fish and Game headquarters on Hazen Drive in Concord.
Two key people will be on hand to share their knowledge and answer questions. New Hampshire state whitetail deer record holder John Klucky will be there to share thoughts on tactics, including scouting and patterning.
Also on hand will be New Hampshire Fish and Game deer biologist, Kent Gustafson. He will tell hunters why this year projects to be a banner year for deer hunting. Hell be available to answer questions about deer habits and habitat.
Sounds like an enjoyable and informative night out if you can make it.
